By the order No. 1R-54 dated 20.03.2010 of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Lithuania, Administrator of the First Notary Office of Klaipeda city, the president of Lithuanian Notary Chambers, the notary Marius Strackaitis was appointed to be the member of the committee of the public competition for occupying the notary’s position.

Profession of Notary has deserved public trust for five years in a row
Vilnius, November 25. Evaluating representatives of legal proessions, Lithuanians for five years in a row mostuly trust in notaries, a public opinion survey shows. Accoridng to the opinion poll held by the public opinion and market studies center „Vilmorus“, 53,1 per cent of questioned Lithuanian residents trust in notraies. 9,4 per cent do not trust in them, while 37,5 per cent of respondents were indeifferent. More than 6,5 thousand disabled citizen will not be able to vote during elections
Six and a half thousand of Lithuania citizens, by court’s decision of their mental disability, will not be able to vote at the elections of Lithuania President and European Parliament.
This year the number of mentally disabled people is two thirds greater than half a year ago.
On Wednesday, Marius Strackaitis, a president of Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries and a notary – administrator of First Notary bureau of Klaipeda city transferred Zenonas Vaigauskas, chairman of the Central Electoral Commission a computer data storage device with information, containing a list of 6 thousand and 555 people, admitted to be mentally disabled by court. Representatives of LCN - at the Brussels General Assembly of The Council of the Notariats of the EU
Marius Strackaitis, a president of Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries and a notary – administrator of First Notary bureau of Klaipeda city participated in events of Council of Notariats of the EU (CNEU) held in Brussels (Belgium).
On 18-03-2009 Lithuanian representatives participated at the session of General Assembly of CNUE, were participants debated on litigation of citizenship requirement, authentic document, issue of company rights, application of new technologies when designing the site of European E-justice, suggestions on electronic Apostile were being discussed, as well as topicalities of European Notarial Network (ENN). A real estate transactions system of „one window“ is trapped
Implementation of “one window” system, which is supposed to facilitate real estate transactions for clients, is trapped.
This was stated on Tuesday, when a Minister of Justice Remigijus Simasius visited the 19th Notary Bureau of Vilnius, which attempts to test Public Electronic Service of Real Estate Property, designed by State Enterprise Centre of Registers (PESREPT).

A suggestion to cheapen the more „expensive“ notary actions will increase the price of „inexpensive“ actions several times
Vilnius, the 5th of March. Having interconnecting Notary service pricing with expenditure of Notaries practice, as suggested by the Ministry of Justice, simple Notary services would increase in price by 500 percent.
This was stated in the Ministry of Justice on Thursday at the press conference by Marius Strackaitis, a president of Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries, when commenting Remigijus Simacius, a minister of justice, prognosis, regarding possible changes in notary service pricing.
“Based on auditor’s calculations, as of today we can conclude that having mechanically interconnecting pricing of notaries service with expenditure of notaries service, simple notaries actions would increase in price until 500 percent”, - stated M. Strackaitiskaitis. More...

General Board’s Session and General Members Meeting of International Union of Latin Notaries (UINL) took place in Quebec
A general members meeting of International Union of Latin Notaries took place on the 7-8th of November, 2008 in Quebec (Canada). Marius Strackaitis, a president of Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries, represented Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries in it, a member of presidium of Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries Asta Keliene and consultant of Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries were present in this meeting as well. General meeting of members heard a report from UINL president Eduardo Gallino regarding UINL position and practice program, discussed a situation of UINL members- notaries, planned themes and assigned coordinators for XXVI International Notaries Congress, which will take place in Morocco in the year 2010 and reviewed other relevant issues.

Poll: the most reliable lawyers – notaries
The public opinion poll shows that when evaluating the legal institutions employees, Lithuanian citizens already four years in a row rely on notaries mostly. According to the representative Lithuanian citizen poll which was carried out by public opinion and market research center “Vilmorous”, 58% of respondents rely on notaries, 9,2% of respondents mistrust notaries, indifferent – third of the respondents. More powerful guarantees of possible damage for notaries’ clients
Vilnius, 1st October. From this moment notaries’ clients will be more protected from possible damage. Cooperation Contract for obligatory insurance of notaries’ professional civil responsibility, becoming effective from 1st October, which has been signed by House of Notaries of Lithuania and private stock company of insurance brokers “IIZI”, representing an insurance company of Great Britain “Association of Underwriters known as Lloyd’s”, provides that.
“From this moment notaries’ clients are more protected from possible damage in consequence of notaries’ actions. Lithuanian Notaries Attended the Notary Congress in Russia
The delegation of Lithuanian notaries returned from the notary congress which took place in St. Petersburg (Russia). The president of Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries Marius Stračkaitis, Vice-president Daiva Lukađevičiűtë and the members of the presidium Asta Kelienë and Svajonë Đaltauskienë represented Lithuanian notaries in the congress.

15 years activity anniversary
15 years ago – on the 1st December, 2007 – State Notary Bureaus in the Republic of Lithuania were replaced by Free Notary Bureaus and thus Free Latin Notary Bureau started its activity. On that day Klaipeda 1st Notary Bureau also started its activity.
During those first 15 working years bureau activity increased several times: number of employees increased from three to thirty, number of notarial actions - from 14 000 (1992) to 72 000 (2007). In 1998 the bureau moved into new bureau, situated in Klaipeda City old town, S.Daukanto Street, and continued its activity there. From the first working day employees’ responsibility and professionalism, which are considered the main professional guides, today have leaded the bureau to the leaders’ positions among professionals not only in Lithuania, but also in all Baltic States.
